Critically acclaimed turn-based strategy game Empire: Total War has been added to the list of games playable through Utomik, a subscription gaming service for PC.
Sega, publisher of the Total War series, announced their partnership with Utomik earlier this year, resulting in games such as The Cave, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes I & II and Alpha Protocol already being released to the service.
Empire: Total War was developed by Creative Assembly and launched March 2009 for PC. The game is set in the 18th century and includes a historical campaign, featuring turn-based strategy and real-time tactical combat.
“Command large regiments of infantry, cavalry and artillery. For the first time introducing 3D naval combat into the series, you are able to intuitively command vast fleets or single ships upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat,” Utomik described.
Utomik currently has over 380 games in its catalog, with a rate of around 40 games being added each month. The subscription lets players experience all those games, and is priced at $5.99 per month. They also offer the option to enroll in a free 14-day trial.
