The official website for the game give us more details on what players can expect from the next piece of the game’s main story line. The post reads, “Amid all chaos, a mysterious enemy has emerged bent on the destruction of all Tenno. What secrets does the Grineer Empire keep? Underpowered, unprepared and forced out of their comfort, players must find it in themselves to improvise, not just to save themselves but the fate of all Tenno. The Grineer Queens’ Fortress awaits, where both Warframe and Operator will be pushed past their limits as they slowly unravel mysteries about the Tenno’s past and their true capabilities.” This update is Digital Extremes’ biggest for the year so far.
Along with this new quest line, the update will include new enemy types in the forms of a new species of Grineer, as well as Kuva Guardians who are some of the most fiercest fighters in Queen’s army. Players will also have an assortment of new weapons and gear to craft and collect as well as a new mission type.
As of now, Warframe supports a massive community of 26 million registered players across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The update is now available on PC and will be rolling out on consoles in the upcoming weeks.
