Warframe’s newest update hits big on Steam with most concurrent players
The War Within, Warframe's latest update has becomes the the game's biggest of the year. The update, which was released late last week, caused the game to skyrocket to the top games list on Steam over the weekend.Developer Digital Extremes points out in a press release, Warfame reached an all time high on Steam in terms of concurrent players with 68,530 users playing, and with more than 1.2 million hours played in one day. This is no surprise considering that the game's last update, The Second Dream, also saw a similar amount of success. The success of both of these updates is a huge milestone to both Digital Extremes and the game itself.

The War Within picks up the game’s main storyline where The Second Dream left off. Along with allowing players to delve deeper into the game’s chilling, yet action packed, story line, it also features new missions, new enemies, and a variety of new weapons and gear for players to craft.
Since Warframe launched in 2013 it has had over 26 million registered users. Their numbers have continued to sore this month across PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Warframe’s newest update is now available on PC. The update will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox in the following weeks.
