Indie developer 10tons Ltd. has released their space-themed shoot ’em up Xenoraid on Xbox One, which is also available on PC and PS4. In a similar style to classic games like Gradius, Xenoraid is a vertically scrolling game that pits the player against hoards of enemies that spew projectiles at various different angles.
Xenoraid’s missions are procedurally-generated, resulting in increased difficulty due the inability to memorize bullet patterns. In addition to the game’s campaign of 40+ missions, Xenoraid includes options to switch between four different fighters; weapon and tech upgrades and three endless survival stages with online leaderboards. All the game modes can also be played with 2-4 player local co-op.

“I’m thrilled to see how Xbox One gamers respond to Xenoraid. I couldn’t be happier about how enthusiastic the early response to the unique features we put in the game has been.” said Jaakko Maaniemi, designer of Xenoraid. The game is currently available for $9.99 with a 15% discount on Xbox One.
Xenoraid is an exciting shooter game with classic action and modern features. Intercept the alien threat in missions that play out differently every time. Pilot skillfully to line up devastating bursts of fire,” the game’s description reads.
Stay tuned for more updates on the game.
