Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a vast and stunning addition to the open-world RPG genre. And with the release of the Special Edition, the environment of Tamriel looks better than it ever has. The PC version has received its latest Update 1.3, with the console patch to follow shortly.
Update 1.3 does not exactly bring wide ranging and sweeping changes to the action, but can be regarded as more of a bug fix for a few issues noted by the community.
The update content, as listed on the Bethesda website is:
- General stability and performance improvements
- Fixed an issue where Slow Time effects weren’t behaving properly
- Better support for 144hz displays
- Fixed issue with being unable to log into Bethesda.net
These minor fixes will no doubt help make Skyrim’s challenges of slaying dragons and traversing the wilderness of the huge map somewhat smoother. The game, which could be considered as almost being too big by casual players, contains many sequences where having better stability and performance will be very welcome.
Your adventure as one of the legendary Dragonborn may take you from the north of Solitude to the southern outpost of Riften, but thanks to Update 1.3, players will be more concerned with what they are facing, rather than whether the game will be working properly.
