A special Crossplay test is being held for Gears of War 4 this weekend.
Starting December 2nd, Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers will be able to play each other. Developer The Coalition has stated the purpose of this weekend is to give Crossplay a trial run in a public playlist. The developer stated that what comes next is undecided, and that this weekend is just the first step.
Those who participate in the test this weekend will receive an increase in win / loss XP for match completion, and will allow gamers to play in squads of up to 5 players. The game modes that will be available include Team Deathmatch, Dodgeball, and King of the Hill. All of the game’s maps will be playable.
The two latest maps for Gears of War 4 are Checkout and Dry Docks. Both of these Legacy Maps were released last month. The two maps were a part of the first month of free maps that will be released for Gears of War 4. The Coalition has announced that gamers can expect two maps to release for the game every month.
Gears of War 4 is available on Xbox One and PC. The Crossplay weekend will end on December 5th.
