Tonight we experienced another wonderful ceremony hosted by Geoff Keighley. Of course, I’m talking about the Game Awards 2016. While this was mostly to celebrate the developers and all of their hard work, it doesn’t hurt to throw in some stuff for the fans too. A big fan favorite and President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime revealed that there was more of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to share.
Taken away to the Nintendo Treehouse, everyone viewing the show was met by Bill Brinen and Nate Bihldorff. There, everyone was able to see them go to work and take action in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They had some trouble facing off against tough enemies, particularly a large monster guarding they shrine they were seeking.
Luckily for those of us who are allergic to spoilers, they did not go far beyond defeating this boss and having to stare at the glowing reward at a distance. The Game Awards was not the only place to see some new Legend of Zelda action today. Nintendo themselves also released a new trailer for anticipated Breath of the Wild. Take a look for yourself below.
We look forward to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, coming in 2017 for both the Nintendo Wii U and Switch.
