War never changes in the world of Fallout, but Minecraft will soon change in a very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. way with the new Fallout mash-up pack.
Mojang just announced that this Fallout-themed pack will soon release on consoles. Players will be able to visit numerous iconic Fallout locations, all recreated in Minecraft’s blocky voxel aesthetic. These range from Fallout 3’s Tenpenny Tower and The Capitol building to Fallout 4’s Diamond City and The Prydwen. Additionally, the pack will include music from the Fallout franchise and 44 new player skins of various fan-favorite characters, including Fawkes, Nick Valentine, and the mascot of Fallout itself – Vault Boy.
Character skins and landmark recreations are not the only features of the Fallout mash-up pack. The UI will be changed to be reminiscent of the retro-futuristic aesthetics of the Pip-Boy, and numerous creatures and enemies will receive model tweaks and re-skins to make them look more like classic Fallout creatures.
Fallout is the latest in a long line of console-only mash-up packs for Minecraft. Past packs include Halo, Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and most recently, Super Mario.
Mojang has given no word on an expected release date, but the Fallout mash-up pack is currently priced at $5.99. For more information on Minecraft stay tuned to Gamespresso.
