Pokemon Sun and Moon beats Nintendo European record
Game Freak have broken records for sales of a Nintendo game in Europe with their latest RPG in the world of Pokemon. Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon have smashed the record set by two previous Pokemon games, X and Y. The game released across the continent last week. The figure for its first week of sales is just over an impressive 1.5 million units. 368,000 of those came in the UK alone. If you include North American sales into the figure, (which released 5 days earlier) then Nintendo have shipped a whopping 5.2 million units of the Alola-based adventure in a mere fortnight.

The game has received glowing praise from critics and players alike. Doug Bowser, a Senior VP of Nintendo America boasted, “With great reviews and outstanding fan response, these next iterations in the Pokémon series are sure to please any player in the family.”
The numerous game owners will soon have the chance to take part in the first Pokemon Sun and Moon Video Game Tournament. Between December 9th and December 11th, players from around the globe will converge on London for a chance to share in an impressive $250,000 prize pool. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live-streamed via the official Pokemon channels.
It seems like there really is no better time to take the plunge into the fastest selling Nintendo release of all time, and experience the Alola region for yourself.
