Kicking off things in style, the PlayStation Experience cold open was none other than new story from Naughty Dog, set in the Uncharted universe. Staring fan-favorite character Chloe Frazer, who was conspicuously absent from the most recent game, and Uncharted 4 villain Nadine Ross, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy looks to take all the polish and style of the main series, but move in a much darker direction.
We still know almost nothing about The Lost Legacy. While conventional wisdom would suggest that it is a piece of story DLC for Uncharted 4, similar to Left Behind for The Last of Us, Sony describes it as the “first standalone adventure in Uncharted franchise history.” We will just have to wait and see if that is referring to the narrative alone, or if Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is actually a standalone release.
According to the trailer’s description, Chloe and Nadine will “venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.”
In other Naughty Dog news, the developer also revealed the highly anticipated sequel to The Last of Us. Part II sees both Joel and Ellie return, and the world appears to be as delightfully bleak as ever. As we learn more about all of Naughty Dog’s future titles, you’ll find it right here on Gamespresso.
