THQ partners with 343, Microsoft for Halo Wars 2 physical release
Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries are partnering with THQ Nordic to release Halo Wars 2 for Windows 10 as a physical box. As it turns out, purchases of a physical copy of the game on PC will allow digital access to the Xbox One version through Xbox Play Anywhere.Both the standard and Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2 will be available physically, but the Ultimate Edition will give fans a 4-day head start, a Season Pass, and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, which is enhanced and will also be connected to Xbox Play Anywhere.

Being able to deliver such a big franchise to RTS and Halo fans alike, the opportunity to buy and own this game in a beautiful physical shape is something we appreciate a lot.”
The physical release will be the perfect opportunity for fans of the series to have that box on their shelf that signifies their love of Halo. Halo Wars 2 is set to release February 17th, and will cost $59.99 USD for the standard edition, while the Ultimate Edition will cost $79.99 USD.
