With the start of the New Year, not only do we get a fresh new start, but also new games added to PlayStation Plus. For the month of January, PS Plus members are being treated to six free titles that offer humor, emotional tension, and everything in between.
The first game in this month’s lineup for PS4 is Day of the Tentacle Remastered. Originally released in 1993, players guide three unlikely friends as they solve puzzles in order to prevent the earth from being taken over be a giant purple tentacle. This remastered version of the game adds a variety of graphical updates and UI updates. Players will also have the option to switch back to the game’s original graphics to experience just how the game was back in 1993.
For those looking for something more intense, PS4 PS Plus members also receive This War of Mine: The Little Ones. Players take control of civilians as they try to survive during a war that has overtaken the country. They will have to explore the now decimated landscape for food and other supplies in order to make it through each day. As the game progress, players are confronted with narrative choices that will impact the lives of these survivors. This War of Mine provides players with an engaging experience that can be played through multiple times.
Along with these two games, PS Plus members also have access to Blazerush and The Swindle on PlayStation 3, and Azkend 2 and Titan Souls on PlayStation Vita, with the Swindle and Titan Souls both also free on PS4 through cross-buy.
