During last week’s Switch livestream, a new Fire Emblem title was announced for the upcoming system. Entitled Fire Emblem Warriors, the new title is being developer by Hyrule Warriors developer Koei Tecmo. No gameplay footage was shown, and a release date was not given.
Fire Emblem Warriors was not the only big game to be announced during Nintendo’s Switch stream. Nintendo also announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released on the upcoming system. While no exact release date was given, the game is expected to release sometime in 2017. A trailer was released for the title, and gave players a glimpse of the world that they will journey in, as well as the game’s new protagonist. Tetsuya Takahasi, who directed both the original Xenoblade Chronicles as well as Xenoblade Chronicles X, is on board as executive producer.
