Thursday February 16th sees the return of Adam Savage and Anthony Richardson with the new series of the popular gaming TV show The First Hour. In the 24 scheduled programs, the hosts will attempt to crack the highly competitive world of eSports.
Each week will see the pair take on a new title of the producers’ choosing. They will receive limited assistance in their challenges from some big names in the eSports industry, as Adam and Anthony try to get to grips with their task and become masters of the digital environment.
If you are unfamiliar with the presenters or the show, then check out this highlights video of the pair tackling the classic title Minecraft in an episode from the 2015 series.
We can expect plenty of laughs and irritating fails from the duo. If the previous series are anything to go by, then the new series, which has been given the eSports twist, will certainly be worth watching. Expect the pair to take on blockbuster titles such as Overwatch, Battlefield 1 and Heroes of Storm as they walk us through their experiences with the games, giving us hope that there is a champion player in all of us.
The First Hour is being brought to television by Ginx eSports TV, beginning 16th February. It will be broadcast in the UK on Sky channel 470, Virgin Media channel 290 and worldwide on over 40 cable and satellite platforms. You can also catch the series live or via catch up on the Ginx subscription website.
