BioWare has provided a short, cute video of the voices behind the Ryder siblings in Mass Effect: Andromeda. We follow Fryda Wolff and Tom Taylorson in a day in the office as they bicker, pick on each other, and show how close they’ve gotten while working on the game.
Tom Taylorson and Fryda Wolff, the voices behind Scott and Sara Ryder, respectively, worked on Octodad: Dadliest Catch together where Tom played Octodad and Fryda played his daughter, Stacy. They also did just about every other voice in the game.
It’s a bit fitting that Fryda plays the “older” Ryder sibling (by a couple seconds, they joke in the video), as her voice work is a bit more substantial that Tom’s. She narrated Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth, on top of her many roles in kids shows and various other video games. It adds another level of that older sister feel. They’re both incredibly talented voice actors, and they’ll really bring something good to the table with Mass Effect: Andromeda, and hopefully working on such a large game will bring more work in the future.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to launch March 21st of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will be the 4th major entry to the franchise.
