Overwatch is currently in the midst of its Lunar New Year event. During the event, players will be able to earn or buy special Lunar Loot Boxes. These boxes include new Lunar New Year themed profile icons, sprays, voice clips, highlight intros, emotes, victory poses, and, most importantly, skins. Some characters did not receive new skins, while others only received epic skins that were recolors of existing ones. Some characters, however, did receive skins that drastically changed their looks. Mei and D.Va received traditional Chinese and South Korean dresses. Zenyatta, Winston, Roadhog, and Reinhardt can now dress up as Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing, all of whom are characters from the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West. The event will also add a new capture the flag mode to Overwatch, called Capture the Rooster, which will only be available during the event.
Overwatch is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Lunar New Year event will last until February 13th.
