In order to properly celebrate the release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Capcom is doing what any self-respecting company would do: host a terrifying real-life immersive survival-horror experience that lasts a whole horrible 45 minutes.
Resident Evil 7: The Experience will take place from January 20th to the 23rd, the day before the official release of the game. It’s happening in London, in a claimed haunted, dilapidated location on the East End. Those unlucky enough to participate will be working as paranormal investigation interns to solve clues and puzzles, while dealing with whatever horrors can be thrown their way to get to the truth of the mystery without facing the consequences.
Laura Skelly, PR Manager for Capcom says, “For anyone who has ever wanted to enter the world of Resident Evil, now is your chance! We wanted to give fans a little glimpse into the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard gameplay, bringing it to life and allowing people to interact with the game in a brand-new way, and perhaps even having a chance encounter with some of the game’s characters.”
Participants will go through the experience in pairs, and will get to play an exclusive demo of the game at the event. The website reads, “To make sure you don’t miss out, you’ll need to come to the Dray Walk Gallery, located at 91 Brick Ln, London E1 6QL at 11:30am on the day that you would like to take part (20th, 21st, 22nd or 23rdJanuary 2017).”
This looks like a free, first-come first-served event, so if you’re interested, you should probably get there very early.
