Last night, Nintendo held a live press conference to show off their upcoming console. During that time, they announced that Splatoon 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Along with the announcement we got a look at some gameplay that showed off just how the world and characters featured in the series have evolved and advanced.
Splatoon 2 will feature new stages in which players can battle against their friends in both online and local multiplayer, as well as a variety of new weapons and gear to customize your Inkling with. When looking at the trailer, we can see that there have also been improvements to gameplay such as the inclusion of a dash which can be done in combat as well as new loadouts for weapons. We also saw that some characters from the previous game will return as well.
The versatility of the Nintendo Switch allows players with a variety of ways to play the game. The fast paced gameplay of Splatoon can be enjoyed on either the Switch’s high definition screen or TV. Splatoon 2 is set to release during the Summer of this year, while the Nintendo Switch is set to release on March 3rd.
