Pokemon Bank has received a new update, which adds new features and compatibility for Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Pokemon Bank is now compatible with Pokemon Sun and Moon, making it possible to transfer Pokemon into those games. The new update will allow players to take their Pokemon from the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console titles Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, and transfer them into Sun and Moon. Parameters such as Abilities, Natures, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def not found in Red, Blue, and Yellow will become visible in Sun and Moon. Pokemon sent through this method will receive great individual strengths.
Other new features include the Pokedex and Adventure Records. The Pokedex feature will allow players to view information on Pokemon registered in all of the games that have been connected to Pokemon Bank in the National Pokedex. The Adventure Records allows players to look back on their adventures. Statistics, such as the number of Pokemon caught, will be accessible for Pokemon games registered to Pokemon Bank. When Pokemon are deposited, players will receive Poke Miles, which can be received as Battle Points, and can be exchanged in Sun and Moon for items.
It was also announced that those who access Pokemon Bank between January 25th and October 2nd, 2017 will be able to obtain Mewnium Z. This special Z-Crystal is for the Mythical Pokemon Mew, and cannot be obtained through normal gameplay. A Mew who holds Mewnium Z while knowing the move Psychic will be able to use the powerful Z-Move, Genesis Supernova.
Pokemon Bank is available now, and is compatible with Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, and Moon, as well as the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow. You can read more about Pokemon Bank here.
