Three new Xbox 360 games have been added to the list of backward compatible titles for the Xbox One, including Tekken 6.
First released in 2013, Tekken 6 was the second Tekken game for the Xbox 360 (the first being Tekken Tag Tournament 2). The roster of characters in Tekken 6 should be readily familiar to fans of the series, even if you’ve missed a few entries, as it features the classic lineup of fighters.
As usual, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb announced the newly compatible titles via Twitter. Along with Tekken 6, the other two games are Midway Arcade Origins and Mutant Storm Empire. While these two games aren’t necessarily something that Xbox fans have been clamoring for, it is nice to see that Microsoft is casting a wide net with their backward compatibility initiative, and not leaving the smaller titles behind.
What really justifies the inclusion of smaller titles, however, is that Microsoft has been going all out on the bigger titles. In the last three months alone, they’ve added Dragon Age: Origins, Injustice: Gods Among Us, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and all three Bioshock games to the list of compatible titles.
As usual, these games be played either be using the original Xbox 360 disc or buy purchasing a digital copy of the game from the Xbox Store.
