The Titanfall 2 team is starting up the new year with a bang, setting up to release a new large update so close to the previous one, Angel City’s Most Wanted.
The next content drop includes a new game mode called Live Fire, described as a 6v6 super fast pilot-only mode that encourages quick close combat.
The blog post about it calls Live Fire, “A round-based best of 5 mode with no respawns, you will have one minute to eliminate the opposing team in order to win the round. You can also win the round if your team is holding the neutral flag when the round timer ends.”
With Live Fire, there will be two new maps released just for the game mode, called Stacks and Meadow. They’re described as “tight, enclosed death boxes”, which makes them sound like a blast.
On top of all that, there’s going to be a new Coliseum map called Columns, a new pilot execution, and new commander intros for each faction.
The new patch is on its way, and Respawn Entertainment has stressed that they will keep the updates rolling out to improve the game post-launch. 2017 is looking to be a good one if they keep adding to the game this often.
