The exciting hack-and-slash fantasy For Honor has officially set up dates for its closed beta, and it will open on January 26th. Registration is still available on the website, and beta players will have access to exclusive emblems and currently unannounced items for their participation.
In For Honor, players will choose the side of one of three factions, Vikings, Knights, or Samurai, and use the “Art of Battle” system to take down their foes. Concerning Art of Battle, Ubisoft says, “For Honor’s innovative control system, puts you in total control of your Heroes. Each has distinct skills and uses unique melee weapons. Combat is designed to deliver the feeling of true dueling without sacrificing accessibility and simplicity. It has been created through motion capture by real martial artists and professional stuntmen to bring the action to life like never before.”
Players can enjoy a single-player and multi-player campaign, and participate in the War of the Factions, where Ubisoft has said in a blog post, “will track every match across all platforms during the Closed Beta, and players will be rewarded for fighting for their factions (with extra spoils going to the victorious faction)”
Rewards gained during beta will roll over to the full game.
For Honor is set to release on February 14 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, which is cutting this beta quite close.
