Xenoblade Chronicles 2 announced for the Switch
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been revealed for the Nintendo Switch.At a press conference held for the Nintendo Switch, it was announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released for the system. No exact release date was given, though it will release in 2017. In the reveal trailer, we get a glimpse at the world that players will be journeying in, as well as the game's new hero. Tetsuya Takahasi, the executive director of the original Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X, is on board as executive producer. Character design will be handled by Masatsuga Saito, while music will be done by Yasunori Mitsuda, ACE, Kenji Hiramatsu, and Manami Kiyota.

During the Switch press conference, a number of details were revealed for the console. When played outside of the dock, the Switch will have a battle life of 2.5 to 6 hours. Up to 8 systems can connect together for local multiplayer. The system will break a Nintendo tradition and will not feature region locking. There will be a new online service for the Switch, which will be free when the system launches March 3rd until this fall.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release for the Switch sometime in 2017. It was also revealed during the Switch event that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be a launch title for Nintendo’s new system.
