Playtonic Games has announced that Yooka-Laylee has gone gold ahead of its April release. The developer also announced that it will soon allow backers to pick which platform they wish to receive the game on, and if they want to upgrade to a physical version on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is worth noting that there will be a fee in order to upgrade to the physical version. It was also announced that those who originally wished to get the game on the Wii U may be able to get a refund. Backers can check here to see all of their options in choosing which version of Yooka-Laylee they want.
Earlier this month, Yooka-Laylee’s multiplayer mode was revealed. The reveal trailer for the game’s multiplayer mode features the character Rextro, who talks to the audience about the mini-games that he claims were made for multiplayer. The games can be played locally with up to four friends, or can be played alone for a high-score challenge.
Yooka-Laylee will release on April 11th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
