Announced on the official Crystal Dynamics blog, the game company proudly describe their new facility as “glorious” and “state-of-the-art.” It comes with hydraulic desks, light absorbing paint, six fully equipped sound-proof audio recording rooms, dedicated console and PC gaming stations, photogrammetry capture space, and a fully equipped motion capture stage. Co-studio Head, Ron Rosenberg said about the move, “The new studio will help Crystal Dynamics take our work to the next level.” He adds that the new building is nearly twice the size of their old studio, and this is because of the need to accommodate the big influx of new recruits that have been added to the payroll in recent months.
Crystal Dynamics, and their parent company Square Enix, has a need for new talent to join them. The recent, exciting announcement that Marvel has teamed up with Square Enix in a multi-year multi-game partnership will have Avengers fans looking forward to the future. Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are spearheading development. The move to new studios for Crystal Dynamics couldn’t have been timed better. As well as the Avengers Reassemble project, there is a new Tomb Raider movie in production this year, something which could help re-invigorate the franchise even further.
