Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 is the company’s most successful game ever.
On the Kinda Funny Gamescast, Bethesda’s Pete Hines stated that Fallout 4 is the company’s most successful game ever, passing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. “Fallout 4 has gotta be the most successful game we’ve ever launched in our company’s history,” Hines said. “More than Skyrim, in terms of what we did.” He then clarified on Twitter that he was comparing the games over the same period of time.

A major update for the PC version of Fallout 4 recently released, featuring a High Resolution Texture Pack. The update is available on the Steam Store, and is free for everyone who owns the game. According to Bethesda, the texture pack will enhance every location with ultra-deluxe detail. The update will take up 58GB of space. The minimum system requirements for the update are an i7-5820K processor or better, as well as a GTX 1080 8GB graphics card.
An update is coming to the PlayStation 4 version of the game as well, bringing with it PS4 Pro support. The update will include native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs, and enhanced Godray effects.
Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
