Pokemon GO has grossed over $1 billion in revenue.
According to Sensor Tower data, Pokemon GO has surpassed $1 billion in worldwide gross revenue since releasing seven months ago on July 6, 2016. This makes Pokemon GO the fastest mobile game to reach this milestone. By comparison, Supercell’s Clash Royale, which is closing in on $1 billion in revenue, only grossed $550 in its first seven months. Though the game’s daily revenue has diminished since it released last July, when it was grossing more than $18 million in one day compared to the $1.5 million per day it received recently, the augmented reality title has shown that it can still spark interest through events such as its Halloween celebration.
Last month, the latest Pokemon GO datamine found a few bits of interesting information. This includes code for shiny Pokemon and genders. The datamine also found mentions of Pokemon Forms and the Pokemon Unown. The code shows all of Unown’s forms, including the question mark and exclamation point Unown. A number of new moves were found, as well as the code for new items. This includes evolution items such as the Sun Stone and King’s Rock. It is currently unknown when the changes found in the datamine will be added to the full game.
Pokemon GO is available now for iOS and Android devices.
