Ubisoft announces companion documentary for Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Ubisoft has announced that they have partnered with Chief Productions to create a documentary which will act as a companion piece to their upcoming game, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Titled, "Wildlands" this feature length film will give gamers a look into the current state of the drug trade in South America, while also looking into the lives of individuals who are involved in this conflict that has spanned over 30 years in the region.Colin Offland, the director behind the film, discussed the process of gathering the stories that are featured in this piece by saying, “We spoke to the people who know the drug trade better than anyone else; iconic characters, from either side of the law, who have defined this continent’s notorious image. The war on drugs is a complex one and we give viewers unprecedented insight to the people who have shaped this landscape, enabling a better understanding of a global issue which affects us all.”

Narrated by the New York times best selling author, Rusty Young, Wildlands will focus on the both sides of the conflict, from those working on the drug supply chain, to Special Forces soldiers on the front lines as they fight the war on drugs. Gamers will get a first hand view of the dangerous aspects of the drug trade while also getting a feel for the locations and events that helped inspire Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set to be released on March 7th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
