Relic Entertainment only recently announced the third entry in their critically acclaimed RTS series, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, but players can already pre-order the game, as it is set to release April 27th.
Gamers can currently pre-order three different editions of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III. These editions include:
- The Base Edition, which comes with the game and the pre-order bonus (a unique skin for each faction’s large “Super Walker” unit).
- The Limited Edition, which comes with the game, the pre-order bonus, a premium disc book, the official game soundtrack, and a lenticular art card that features the iconic helmets of each faction.
- The Collector’s Edition, which comes with the game, the pre-order bonus, a premium disc book, the game soundtrack, a lenticular art card, three cloth faction banners, and a replica of the “Godsplitter Daemon Hammer.”
Furthermore, the Steam version of the game comes with special Company of Heroes 2 Vehicle Skin Sets.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III will utilize the base-building mechanics from the first Dawn of War game, joined with the more tactical focus of the second. Furthermore, Dawn of War III will introduce several new mechanics, some of which are unique to each faction. For example, the Orks can use skrap to power up units or build vehicles on the battlefield. Skrap can be collected from dead units or created by Ork buildings.
