Nordic Games announces Darksiders: Warmaster Edition has been delayed. The delay can be seen from the company’s release schedule for the year.
The game was originally set to release on October 25th, but as of now, it is scheduled to launch on November 22nd of this year. Darksiders: Warmaster Edition was announced by the company earlier this year.
The game will run in native 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, with the Wii U version running at 30 fps. This remastered version will feature improvements to the game’s texture resolutions, rendering improvements, and other graphical improvements that will bring the series to next generation consoles with style. PC gamers will also have the option to experience this version of the game in 4K resolution.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Darksider’s series, a rundown of the game’s story can be found on the game’s official steam page. The page reads, “Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth. Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible. Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.”
Darksiders: Warmaster Edition will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Wii U. The game originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 5, 2010.
