RollerCoaster Tycoon is one of those games that most gamers remember with fondness. From actually running a proper park to creating a single roller coaster that loops into infinity, trapping your digital theme park-goers on the ride from purgatory, people have shown the franchise a lot of love over the years. The next installment, RollerCoaster Tycoon World now has an official a release date, November 16th.
The game has been in Early Access since March, so an official release date to iron out some of the issues players have been having is great. Fred Chasnais, CEO of Atari, was very excited to release the game to fans on Steam Early Access, just 8 months ago. However, the bugs in the early build of the game have led to some unfortunate reviews. Crashing, frame-rate issues, and generally difficult controls will hopefully be fixed up for the official release.
The new RollerCoaster Tycoon adds many new things to the franchise, including enhanced customization that’s perfect for a Steam release, “UGC Tools: For the first time, you will be able to create items like your own scenery and peeps, in any 3D editing program that works with Unity, and import it into the game for everyone to use!”
RollerCoaster Tycoon World releases November 16th on Steam and other online retailers for PC, with updated UI, menus, and performance fixes.
