Indie developer Exploding Tuba Studios has announced that their upcoming title, Divide, will release next month.
It was announced on the PlayStation Blog that Divide will release on January 31st, 2017 for the PlayStation 4. In Divide, gamers play as David, a father who has been ripped away from his daughter and the security of his familiar life. He now finds himself in a strange new world that challenges the foundation of what he thought was real. While it is through the eyes of David that the narrative unfolds, it is up to the players to from their own opinions of what to believe. Every piece of dialog could be a half truth. As players gain new insight, seperating truth from lies become more of a concern. Every new revelation will expand dialog options, allowing the player to come up with their own conclusions.
Divide is a callback to dual-stick shooters, as the player moves with the left stick while the aim with the right stick. The controls are all mapped to the shoulder buttons, allowing the players to control the game while their fingers and thumbs stay put. How combat is handled is completely up to the player. Gamers can either go in guns blazing, or they can go down the stealth route.
Divide will release for the PlayStation 4 on January 31st, 2017.
