Assassin’s Creed is an incredibly popular series, and the movie based on the series is looking very good so far. Fans will be excited to see that the new clip Fox has teased for the movie includes something everyone loves from the games; a Leap of Faith.
Leaps of faith are a core game mechanic, one of the first things you learn in the early games. Normally leaping into a pile of hay after finding a spot to look out onto the area, this leap of faith is apparently being used to train the protagonist, Callum, to trust the Animus and his memories. He leaps off the top of a construction site without a second thought, while being chased by enemies with crossbows in this clip, aptly named “Leap of Faith”.
“Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.”
The Assassin’s Creed movie is planned to release on December 21st, just in time for the holidays.
