Sony has announced that they will be releasing the Glacier White PlayStation 4 in Europe and Japan later this month.
Sony has announced that the Glacier White PlayStation 4 will release in Europe on January 24th. The system will come with a 500GB HDD, and will have an MSRP of €299, £259 in the U.K. The system will then release in Japan on February 23rd. It will come with either a 500GB HDD (MSRP of 29,980Yen), or a 1TB HDD (MSRP of 34,980Yen). There is no word on whether or not the system will come to North America.
Last week Sony revealed that over 6.2 million PlayStation 4 units were sold during the 2016 holiday season. The company also announced that over 53.4 million units of the console have been sold worldwide as of January 1, 2017. Sony stated that they had strong software sales during the 2016 holiday season, selling over 50.4 million copies in retail and digital.
Sony revealed the top downloads on the PlayStation Store last week. The most downloaded game last year on the PlayStation 4 was Rocket League. Minecraft was the top performer on the PlayStation 3, Job Simulator on PlayStation VR, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth on the PlayStation Vita, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PlayStation Classics.
