The Elder Scrolls: Legends is the free-to-play, card-based strategy game inspired by the Bethesda smash hit title. Each month a special PvP event is held known as the Chaos Arena, where the game rules are altered at random, causing players to have to think on their feet to win. The January event is live now and will run until Monday 23rd.

As revealed on Bethesda.net, the battle arena has been taken over by the Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath. He has turned play into his very own Chaos Arena, and has brought with him his own artwork and avatars. There are specific rules to adhere to in this special event, such as random special scenarios or lane rules into each match.

An extra bonus for players of Elder Scrolls: Legends while this is taking place is the awarding of a free card pack. You will receive this regardless of whether or not you decide to take part in the demanding Chaos Arena event. The Madhouse Collection special bundle is also available for purchase, giving players automatic entry into the Chaos Arena, or in fact any Arena mode. The Madhouse Collection can be bought using in-game currency, or real money via the game’s store.

If you have yet to experience Elder Scrolls: Legends, and are a fan of either card-based strategy games or the Elder Scrolls franchise, then perhaps now would be a good time to try out the free-to-play game for yourself. Either challenge yourself against players worldwide, or pit your wits against AI in multiplayer or a single player campaign. Elder Scrolls: Legends is currently available as Open Beta on PC and is due to release for iOS and Android mobile devices some time this year.
