To celebrate the three year anniversary of The Last of Us: Left Behind, author Keith McNally has released a book based on his experience playing the game using a non-conventional method. His newest title, “Surviving The Super Apocalypse” details his experience playing through The Last of Us without the use of weapons or other items.
McNally faces his own self-imposed struggle against some of the toughest enemies in the games as a way to discuss the mechanics and methods in which the developers over at Naughty Dog use to craft the story to one of the most critically claimed title of 2013.
Keith McNally’s book, Surviving The Super Apocalypse, is now available for free as a digital download across a variety of formats.
Halley Gross, a writer for the hit HBO series Westworld has been brought on the help co-write the story for the Last of US 2. The announcement was made by Neil Druckmann, the creative director at Naughty Dog, on Twitter earlier this year. With Gross’ contribution, as well as the award winning team over at Naughty Dog, the story featured in The Last of US 2 is shaping up to be a fantastic experience that will hopefully be on par with the first game.
