Germany kicks off Gamescom in a couple of weeks, the convention running August 5-9. Square Enix has announced its lineup for the big-time European show. Square Enix’s 1,100-square meter booth on the show floor will include more than 200 game stations, on which attendees can play some of the company’s upcoming games.
Gamescon will be the first place for the public to play a large amount of games. The games so far known will be: Avalanche’s open-world action game Just Cause 3, MMO Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensword, Life is Strange, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, and the upcoming PC version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will all be playable at their booth.
People waiting in lines for these games can play Lara Croft: Relic Run and Hitman Go using mobile demo stations.
Square Enix will also host theater presentations for the upcoming Hitman game, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The publisher also teased saying they are holding “a number of exciting stage presentations” for Final Fantasy XV.
Square Enix also said that “many well-known guests” will appear on stage to discuss the game as well as “reveal new insights” about it. Some fans will get to play the second demo for Final Fantasy XV, called Episode Duscae 2.0.
This looks like it’s going to be a good convention for Square Enix fans.
