In the latest edition of the Just Cause 3 dev diary, Avalanche Games gives gamers insight into the scope of the games destruction.
“There’s a million different ways to play the game, in terms of blowing stuff up,” comments Lead Mission Designer Colin Alteveer. Avalanche has stated that they wanted to put all the current-gen consoles horsepower to work; “We’ve been focused purely on the new generation of high-end technology from the very beginning of development,” elaborated game director Roland Lesterlin. devs draw comparisons to games such as Uncharted, which features large scripted set-pieces.
Avalanche was at PAX two days ago hosting a panel with Havok, developer of the game’s middleware engine. Just Cause 3 launches December 1st for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Microsoft has stated that Xbox One owners who purchase the game will also get a free copy of Just Cause 2.
