Google has revealed a new logo! Last month the company announced an internal restructuring as a tech conglomerate now known as Alphabet. Google’s internet services will retain the old name, however. Google has dropped its lowercase “g” in favor of a more colorful uppercase “G”.
No clear reason has been stated for the new look, but Google continues to point to how much it has evolved and change is constant. On the announcement blog, the company posted a short video chronicling its history. Watch it below!
Google has gone through many logo changes great and small over its 17-year life, the most recent of which was 2 years ago. If you aren’t a fan of the new logo, it probably won’t be around forever. Google says, “This isn’t the first time we’ve changed our look and it probably won’t be the last.”
