At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, it was announced that there will be two new Yakuza projects released in the near future.

First, Yakuza: Kiwami, a remaster of the originally PS2 game was announced during Sony’s conference during TGS. The game will upgrade the graphics of the original as well as introduce new story and gameplay elements.

Series creator Toshiro Nagoshi also revealed that Yakuza 6 is currently in development. Little is known about the game other than that it will launch on PS4 in fall 2016.

Yakuza: Kiwami will release on January 21, 2016 in Japan for PS3 and PS4. It is currently unknown if there are plans to bring the game to the west.
