Atari has finally announced that the official release date for RollerCoaster Tycoon World will be December 10th of this year. As well, RollerCoaster Tycoon World pre-orders have now been opened, being available on Steam and RollerCoaster Tycoon’s own website. If you pre-order the standard or special edition of the game, you’ll get access to RollerCoaster Tycoon World’s beta in late October and November as well as five special skins.
The standard edition of the game costs $49.99 and comes with just the game. The deluxe edition costs $59.99 and comes with two additional parks to build in, an extra terrain pack, a golden gate entrance for your park, and the panda mascot from the original RollerCoaster Tycoon. As well, there’s an ultimate collection for $74.99 that includes every RollerCoaster Tycoon game and expansion, as well as the deluxe edition of RollerCoaster Tycoon World.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Worlds was supposed to be released sometime over the summer, but heavy criticism over their chosen art style caused an overhaul to a more realistic look. It’s being developed by Nvizzio Creations in partnership with Atari, as well as gaining a partnership with Six Flags. Six Flags actually gave Nvizzio blueprints for some of their rides, along with details on ride physics, and statistics on guest flow.
