Even though Fallout 4 has been dominating headlines the past week, we are just now getting a sense of how well it sold. And as one might expect, it turns out Bethesda’s post apocalyptic RPG sold very well.
SuperData is reporting, via Gamesindustry, that the digital sales for Fallout 4 reached 1.87 million in the first three days. About 1.2 million of those sales were on the PC, mostly through Steam. All in all, SuperData’s Joost van Dreunen places it at “$100 million in digital revenue in just three days for Bethesda.”
This all comes after it was announced Bethesda shipped 12 million physical units to retailers for day one, topping the 7 million of the developer’s last game, Skyrim.
Our recent review for Fallout 4 praised the game, saying, “The changes and additions made to Fallout 4’s base mechanics have created the first game that feels like a genuine Fallout game by Bethesda.”
