The next free update for Grand Theft Auto V’s multiplayer mode, Grand Theft Auto Online, has been announced.
Entitled Executives and Other Criminals, the update allows players to become a “VIP” and establish their own crime ring. The free update will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next week (no PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360). The update adds new gameplay modes and luxury-themed items, as well as new customizable apartments, new homes in Vinewood Hills, and the Super Yacht vehicle.
Executives and Other Criminals will add more jobs and challenges. Gamers will also be able to hire other players for their own squad of bodyguards, who will earn a steady paycheck, as well as RP, GTA$, and stat boosts. There will be more missions, as well as new cars to unlock. The Super Yacht can be upgraded with new items and can support other vehicles, such as a helicopter and personal watercraft. Executives and Other Criminals will also include new weapons and other vehicles, though no details were given.
Rockstar also stated that some existing Freemode events, such as King of the Hill and Moving Target, will change when they are played by criminal organizations. There will also be a brand new mode called Extraction. In this mode, a team of bodyguards find and extract an “executive” from a downed jet before a team of enemies can kill them.
Grand Theft Auto V is available on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Executives and Other Criminals will release on December 15th.
