Locations have always been a showcase of the Star Wars films and The Force Awakens delivered big with striking scenery from start to finish.
Discover Ireland has released a new video featurette showcasing the location of the last scene in the film which was shot on one of the Skellig Islands.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens scored big at the box office over these two and a half weeks and it’s on track to be the highest domestic grossing film of all time. At $742.3 million, The Force Awakens is only $18 million behind James Cameron’s Avatar.
It’s no surprise then with such dominance at the box office that Star Wars: Rogue One is the most anticipated movies of 2016. Fans can expect to see a new Star Wars film every year at least over the next four years as Disney has released their slate of Star Wars films through the year 2020.
