Hi-Rez Studios game designer Scott Lussier has announced that an important update is headed to the console versions of the popular third-person MOBA, Smite.
Smite for consoles currently run at 30fps, but after the Xbox One and PS4 updates which have already been submitted users will be able to opt-in to running the game at 60fps.
This comes a couple weeks after Lussier posted a teaser video on YouTube entitled “60 and Breezy” which showed the game running at 60fps on console. The video can be seen below.
Smite is out now on Xbox One and PC. A PS4 version of Smite is currently in open beta.
You will be able to opt into 60 FPS in the next console patch (we submit tomorrow).#TheConsoleDream
