Did you grow up wishing you could be the Kid Chameleon? Do you still have a Sonic the Hedgehog plushy in your room? If so, you must’ve been a big Sega fan in the 90’s and had your fair share of games. Steam is bringing some great new surprises for you.
Any Sega Genesis game you have on Steam will now be enhanced by the Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub. If you didn’t already know, Mega Drive is what most regions outside of the United States call the Sega Genesis. In this hub, you will be placed in the virtual bedroom of a Sega lover in the 90’s, complete with a shelf filled with games galore. This hub will be added automatically for anyone who has any Sega Genesis games on Steam.
It was also announced that there will be a special Steam Workshop for modders to share their custom versions of Sega classic. There is not much more information on this, but we are set to learn more next week. This is according a tweet from Dan Sheridan, the Community and Marketing Manager of Sega.
The Sega Mega Drive Classic Hub will arrive as soon as April 28th. Get ready to feel nostalgic.
