Riot Games majority shareholder Tencent plans on releasing its own video game console to the Chinese market.
Named the Tencent Games Platform Box, or TGP Box, will be released only in China so far, without any word whether it will come to the Western market. Few things are known about the console. It is known that the TGP Box runs Windows 10 and is compatible with Intel’s sixth-generation Core i3, i5, and i7 processors. As well, League of Legends, the MOBA game Riot develops, will be a support title for the new console.
No word yet on any sort of supplemental GPU and will most likely rely on Intel’s integrated graphics for its video performance.
