It was confirmed by God of War lead level designer Rob Davis that the new title will run at 30 frames per second.
Davis confirmed the news to VG247 in a behind closed doors demo of the game at E3 earlier this week, where he also confirmed that the game was shown on a “regular” PS4, rather than the upgraded PlayStation Neo console that is coming sometime in the future.
He added that there is no targeted shipping date or release window yet selected for the game.
God of War opened what many agreed to be a strong E3 press conference for Sony, showing off a new direction and setting for the series and for main character Kratos.
“I knew I didn’t want to simply reboot the franchise, starting over with a retelling of the origin story, Cory Barlog of developer Sony Santa Monica said. “I wanted to reimagine the gameplay, give players a fresh perspective and a new tactile experience while delving deeper into the emotional journey of Kratos to explore the compelling drama that unfolds when an immortal demigod makes a decision to change.”
