It has been announced that Halo 5: Forge will be making its way over to Windows 10 PCs on September 8th.
Halo 5: Forge will be available as a free download via the Windows Store on Windows 10 PCs. Forge will allow players to build, share, and play new levels, maps, and experiences on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. The PC version of Forge will support mouse and keyboard for highly refined object placement and manipulation, higher-resolution displays (including 4K), the ability to host and play custom matches for up to 16 players, and include a content browser that spans both platforms. Creators will be able to download levels from the Forge community created on both the Xbox One and PC, which they can then customize.
It was also announced that the ninth free content release for Halo 5: Guardians will release on September 8th as well. Entitled Anvil’s Legacy, the content release will bring Forge’s content browser to the Xbox One, which will let users access content created on both PC and Xbox One. The update will also bring with it a new Arena map entitled “Mercy,” as well as a new Warzone map called “Temple.” Anvil’s Legacy will also include new REQ items such as three new weapons, new Sound Dampener attachments, weapon and armor skins, and more.
Halo 5 is available on the Xbox One.
